Apple to attend NAB show this year after 10 year absence 27 Jul 2021 05:54 #115543

According to AppleScoop they’re listed as an exhibitor, unlike 2011 when they did the FCPX rollout off the show floor. I suspect they’ll be previewing Apple Silicon hardware. The timing might fit well with an Apple October Mac event.

They do not show up on the NAB exhibitor's list. There is no other corroboration of this story.

Every one of those other articles links back to the same AppleScoop post. Not independent corroboration of Apple as an exhibitor. BTW - it's not there today, so the reference to Apple has been deleted.
2021 NAB Show - 2021 NAB Show

You'll note that none of those names on the NAB splash page for "attending" are show exhibitors. Personnel from every media and tech company in the world attend and aren't exhibitors. While there may be some show floor presence, none of these data points really provide any evidence of an Apple booth or demo space on or off the show floor.

In the past, Apple has presented at PPW keynotes and in some years had a demo suite in a nearby hotel. So to start with the post is factually incorrect, because Apple has been "attending" all along, just not exhibiting publicly with booth space.

Remember that there's an actual official NAB meeting with member presentations and discussions that have nothing to do with the exhibit. The "show" is really just a sideshow to the actual NAB Convention for members. Apple could very easily be there because Apple TV execs signed up.

If you ask me, that NAB page is nothing more than clickbait to convince people to attend a show that will be totally underwhelming compared with pre-Covid years.

All that being said, I hope they do end up have a visible presence.
