Final Cut Pro Trial won't open after Catalina Update

Hi there I updated my software to catalina 10.15.7
I wanted to try and use final cut since they are offering 90 day free trial with the full version
Everytime i try to open it, the 90 day trial window comes up, i press ok to proceed instead of hitting to go to the app store, and it just closes down.  If i delete preferences, it opens up, and closes down immediately
