Issue importing from SD Card

I'm a high school broadcast teacher and on several of our work stations we are unable to see the SD card clips. The SD card shows up but we cannot see the individual card clip icons. We can copy the SD card contents to the desktop/computer and then they will show up as clip icons. Attached is a screen shot showing the import screen...but no icons. Thanks in advance for your help.

The camera card is appearing under Devices. It should appear under Cameras. OSs there anything else on the card, or are there multiple formats recorded on it?

We are using Sony cameras that shoot AVCHD...and that specific card only has AVCHD files. The card showed up under Camera on the computer next to the one in question..... Is there a way to change settings so that FCPX recognizes a SD card under camera and not device?

No there isn’t. Does FCP have Full Disk Access in Privacy System Preferences?

That fixed it. It needed a restart as well but that did it. Thank you very much!
