Hi everyone I'm new here and have been using FXP for a few years.
I wish i had joined this forum a long time ago but better late than never!

Ok so i have this issue where - when i export my videos the motion looks to be stuttering, not smooth.
However when I watch it in final cut pro it is perfectly smooth.

I have exported the movie "Master file" at various rates to no success. It still has this jaggered stuttering effect which is painful on the eyes.

I've tried 60fps also tried 30 fps to no avail.

Also i have watched a few tutorials on how to create a back up.. (some of my videos are 12 mins long) so i spend weeks at a time creating content. But i have no idea on how to export the project to back it up onto an external HDD. All the videos show many various different ways to do this but i am having no luck.

When i viewed my FXP video file under the "Finder" - "Movies" folder it states that the file is 1.6TB! Which is humungous.

I would like to know how to simply move one project to the external HD.
I have tried "File" Copy to project library" and my external HD is selected but i get this message..

To generate optimized and ProRes proxy media, click transcode. Transcoded media will be craeted in the Folder "Samsung_T5" Is this correct and i just proceed and click ok?

Ive tried it and it seems to just hang there for a long time!
Says 0% for ever so I am not sure what i am doing wrong.

Thank you for your time.

First make sure that FCP has Full Disk Access in Privacy System Preferences.

If you want to copy a library to another drive, make sure the drive is correctly formatted, APFS for an SSD, and that everyone has read/write permissions for the drive and all content. Drag and drop the library in the Finder from one drive to the other. If the media is stored in the library it will go with the library. If it is externally stored, set a storage location on the external drive and use the consolidate function to copy the media to that location on the external.
