I foolishly updated my mac to the new version of Pro Video Formats 2.2.1 and I would like to revert back to the previous version 2.2.0 to match the version of FCP (10.5.1) that I'm using.
I've noticed that export times have become really slow and I'm hoping that reverting will fix this without having to restore a time machine backup.
any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

I don't believe updating Pro Video Formats would cause a slow-down in exporting. Nothing mechanically about it effects render times. I'd look at other culprits. Free space on the system drive, try deleting all preference files first, etc. What is the codec of the original footage, what is the duration of your Project's timeline, what codec are you exporting to?

Thanks for your help. I removed all the preferences and that seems to have done the trick.
