Trying to download a copy to my Lap Top for Traveling

I'm Trying to download a copy to my Lap Top for Traveling and all i get is the Trial Version with no way to put my activation code in. Is FCP X limited to one machine per license? I searched for a full download and could not find one anywhere. 
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated

FCP has no activation code. You might have a redemption code if you bought a bundle. If you purchased it from the App Store, you simply log into the store with the Apple ID used for the purchase and download it the application from your purchased page. If you haven't bought it from the App Store, you'll have to tell us in detail what you did to get the application.

I paid full price for FCP X about 5 years ago from Apple. I have an activation code that came with it. That is the way I always bought FCP going back to the earlier versions. 

Legacy FCP had serial numbers. The current application does not. If you purchased it from the App Store, simply log into the App Store with the Apple ID used to purchase it. Go to your Purchased page in the App Store and find the application to download it. If it is not on the Purchased page you will need to contact App Store support. 

ok so i found the full app on the apple app store and signed in and downloaded the full version. I am assuming it knew from my account that i paid for it?
