FCPX Voice Over Recording Very Low???

I'm having an issue with FCPX, when I record using my AKG 414 and FocusRite Solo 3rd Gen. When I try to record I get low moving voice levels when I try to raise the input gain up I still get low I have to raise my voice to get it peaking?

Now when I use Adobe Audition, I set my input gain to 1 clock and I get really fine levels and without the need to raise the gain all the way up. I noticed that even when I export an Audio file that has levels dancing between -3db or -4db, in FCPX they become lower and not the same as Audition?

I don't know what is wrong but does FCPX lower all the sounds?

I have 48V enabled and everything is working fine but not with FCPX.

I get this in FCP a lot, too. Always have. It's a feature.

BTW, my late father retired as a regional sales manager for Motorola's emergency services division many years ago. I grew up with Motorola. I remember when he brought home all the cutting edge communication and electronics to learn how to use. First mobile phone, first 2-way radio that could place phone calls before that. Those were the days...

This is a long standing behavior in the way FCP handles mono recordings in stereo or surround projects. Because voice over records in the project you'll always see it there, but not on the same recording in the browser. Coincidentally Steve Martin addressed this in the RippleLIVE session yesterday. . The question is near the beginning at around 6:30.
