Accusonus Announces ERA 5.2, Adding Mouth De-Clicking, Big Sur Compatibility

Looks like Accusonus have made their audio plugins compatible with Big Sur. and also released a mouth declicker.

The primary addition is Mouth De-Clicker. Mouth noises, such as lip smacks, saliva crackle and mouth clicks, are the bane of audio editing - they take a long time to manually remove, often require reshoots, and can necessitate expensive hardware upgrades. With Mouth De-Clicker, these are things of the past; the plugin swiftly highlights all unwanted sounds in a track, allowing the user to remove them at ease. A once laborious task, now transformed into a speedy step on the path to better content quality.

Alongside Mouth De-Clicker, 5.2 brings partial compatibility to Final Cut Pro on Big Sur. Currently limited to Intel processors, this update allows most ERA plugins to function on the platform - more information, here. The update also adds presets to the Audio Clean-Up Assistant, providing new options for those wanting to fully optimize their editing workflow.

I use their Voice Leveler daily and love it. But they've changed to a subscription model and I can't get only the components I need. I'm forced to get a bundle with stuff I won't want, and pay monthly. Sorry, there's other plugins that do this, I'll pass on the subscription and forced bundle. Shame, cause they're nice products.

You can get the Bundle (not individual plugins) through FXFactory. There's no subscription there.

It's true that ERA plugins can only be purchased as a bundle and not individually, as we treat the ERA Bundle as a single product rather than just a bunch of individual plugins. The innovative  audio repair & enhancement workflow that we're introducing with these plugins, requires many plugin engines to work simultaneously in the background (the Audio Clean-Up Assistant is the first step towards this goal). The ERA Bundle Standard now consists of 10 plug-ins, while the Pro includes 14 plug-ins, designed to tackle most common aud io issues. If you divide the price of the Bundle with the number of the plug-ins it includes, you'll see that it's actually a great deal! Perhaps Spectral editing within FCP. Granted that would be ambitious but it would be great to target, remove, replace undesirable sounds in a spectrum while someone is speaking, whether it's a dog bark, car alarm, siren, etc.

As a now-retired editor only producing weekly Church services for YouTube pro-bono from supplied, often low quality phone footage and from inexperienced users during lockdown due to normal attended services being cancelled, there are only 2 or 3 plugins I would consider using from Accusonus, I could afford the odd $59 but certainly not a subscription model or the full price version through FXFactory.

I don't do subscriptions, you end up over paying in the end.
