Library File Limits?

So here's something new. I am trying to import a whole bunch of still into my library to make a video. I am land locked at 42 stills. No matter what i do it will not accept another file in this library. I was not aware of a file limit in the past. Anyone else have this problem? 

Exactly what happens when you try to import more?

Nothing happens. If i try to physically drag it, it just bounces back. When I try to import it it just won't import. I got 42 in there no problem and then poof. No more. 

Obviously this is not a limitation of Final Cut Pro as that would be a rather silly limitation. Something else must be going on here. It's possible that the current Library is corrupt. Can you try creating a new Library and see if all of your images import into that?

It finally worked when i added each JPEG separately. The JPG files all went in together. This is so strange. 

What are the dimensions and dpi of those files? Rather, what is the file size of each of those files? And do they all have the same extensions?
