Cannot adjust color in a clip

I was experimenting with keyframes and it did not go well. I wanted to counter the drone camera adjusting exposure in the clip the exposure. I was under the impression that when you clicked a keyframe it would span the remainder of the clip or encountered another KF click.  I could not find a way to show where the keyframes in this clip are positioned. I have some learning to do with this.

So I started resetting stuff and wound up with this desaturated underexposed clip. I can not adjust colors from another clip. Nor do the sliders have any impact on the color, sat or exp. 

So how do I get this clip to recognize the adjustments?

The problem was not the color adjustment. The viewer screen was frozen. When I moved the playhead or hit play the PH would move but the screen was not changing. I closed and reopen FCP and everything was normal.  Not sure how I did that.
