Latency and video lag through HDMI when using TV as a viewer

I have a LG TV and no matter what cable I try, or what I do, when I preview to the TV, the audio is out of sync. It's super annoying.
If I change the system preferences and select the TV under audio output, it's fine, but if the output is set to my iMac Pro internal speakers or my Audient iD22 and external speakers, I get crazy lag.
How are you guys hooking up and using your TVs to preview video? Do you just deal with LAG? I had the OLED TV that was $1500 and returned it because it was not worth it consider the hassle. Now I have one for half the price. Both have the same issue.

Are you listening to the audio from the TV you are hooking up...or from your computer sound system? I don't use HDMI, but rather thunderbolt to BlackMagicDesign Ultra Studio and that then goes via SDI to my Flanders. I have a delay that is evident, when compared to my GUI monitor...and audio is out of sync. But if turn my computer sound system off and turn up the little speakers on my Flanders, the audio is in sync with the pictures being piped to that monitor...(the Flanders)....

If I listen through the TV it's fine (both sources being pushed through the HDMI) but the lag is happening when I have my system preferences set to listen (output) through my A/I or the internal iMac Pro speakers. I'm using a thunderbolt to hdmi cable.
I do not see ANY options for using an external display in DaVinci Resolve by the way. I mean there is dialog for one, but it does not detect the TV or any external display. I know that's not FCPX but I use both. Sometimes I use BMDR for color.

Forgot to ask, will the BM Ultra Studio allow me to find the TV in Resolve Preferences?

Davinci Resolve 16 and up can now ouput to HDMI but BM interfaces and control panels are a must for a pleasant ride.
