Compound clip – marking a location

Compound clip – marking a location was created by Hypnoman
I need to adjust one of the constituent components of a compound clip, and I need to make that adjustment at a precise point – a point marked by a marker in the main clip. Is there a quick and easy way of finding where that marker is once I've opened the compound clip?

I so with markers on Compounds would translate into the Timeline of them internally. But, since that very necessary and common sense function does not exist yet (and probably never will), do this. Place your head on the marker in the Project timeline. Double-click the Compound to open it up. Your playhead should be in that exact same place in the Compound's timeline. Compounds are nice things, but super incomplete, and way overdue for such common sense functions, IMHO.

Excellent! That was what I needed. I've always opened the Compound by clicking the 'Compound Icon' at the left of the timeline (the thing that looks like two speech bubbles overlapping). That doesn't work – in fact, it remembers where the playhead was in the Compound the last time I opened it (which, in other circumstances, might be useful).
Thank you so much for the tip.

Your reply was exactly what I needed, but now I have the reverse problem: I have a marker on one of the components inside a compound clip and I want to know where that marker sits in the main timeline.
Is there an easy workaround for that one too?

My question was "Is there an easy workaround for that one too? So when you wrote:
did you mean "Nope, and thus the problem with Compounds" ?

Yep, there's no way to see markers inside a Compound once you're outside of it in the Project.
