Color roles

I have added a color role. When I apply it to a clip it doesn't show up in the proper color.
Just a dark smudgy color.
I have selected the clip and assigned that new color role. It just changes from blue to smudgy.
Also...Why are they so dark !

What is "smudgy"? Can you please provide a screenshot?

Clips that contain audio content show the audio color in the Timeline.
Clips that are video content only will show the video role color in the Timeline.
Multicam and Compounds are grey, as they can have multiple audio roles inside of them.

Like I said. It's no big deal.
I just find these colors quite dead.
A lot are quite similar.

And limited. Hoping for a color picker in some future update.

FCP has always run in a dark mode. I have noticed that most colors in dark mode are not a vibrant.
