Compressor audio issues

So I sent a completed edit (talking head video) to compressor. Used the Apple Device best quality setting and after render, the dialogue audio is all missing. The intro and out music rendered fine, but no dialogue. BTW... using an M1 Mac. I tried it again 3 times with the same results. So I instead used the direct output settings bypassing compressor and in FCP it worked fine. Any ideas on what I might have done. I should also mention that I had shared to compressor earlier that day to the same settings, just a different project and it worked just fine. The only difference being the one that worked was 1080p and one that dropped dialogue was 720p.

Run that twice. First time select Cancel Jobs. Second time select Repair Compressor.
See if that helps. But why go to Compressor if you're using a preset already inside FCP?

Thanks, Ben, I'll try that. I sometimes have to batch out several projects at a time so I've just grown used to using Compressor. This is the first time I've had any issues.

Why not batch them out of FCP instead?
I ask because I do TV broadcast, just updated a lot of graphics packages for several locally produced shows, plus commercials, news articles, etc. I batch out of FCP daily and rarely touch Compressor, unless I have encoding needs that must be tweaked in Compressor once. If it's a specifically tweaked setting I'll use often, I make a custom preset and set that up in FCP. So I'm just curious as to other people's workflows.

Wasn't even aware I could batch from FCP.

Yep, we're all here to help each other through those many, many, many "duh" moments.
Couple times a week I deliver to three broadcast sources, each has their own very specific tweaks of MPEG-2 and H264 encoding requirements. I made a custom preset for each in Compressor (then as Destinations in FCP). I also made a Bundle in FCP (folder containing multiple encoding presets) as a couple things I do on occasion need to go to all three at once. That way I can batch and have that whole batch give me three different encodes for my various deliverables.
Would be nice to have a "Customize" button inside the Share menu that would launch a Compressor-like Inspector window, and not have to run out to Compressor for minor tweaks. A boy can dream...
