Script for media autopause

Hi everyone, a newbie posting on the forum, but have been editing for 10 years in FCPX.
Here the question:
Is there a script some folk just like me but with the ability to code, with the function of auto-stopping media (itunes, spotify, etc) whenever playback on fcpx is happening?

I've never seen such an animal, nor am I able to find one. But then, when I'm editing, I'm focused on the edit, not other apps.

But as unorthodox as it may seem, I need my all nighters to have a steady beat on the background.

I was not being sarcastic. I pull all-nighters also, I never play the radio or music or other sources while editing, ever. I don't want to be distracted from the story I'm crafting, and that's personal preference.  But if it helps you, that's fine. As for automatic sound source switching, you're probably not going to find that. But it is an interesting idea.  And if someone did make it, well, when you're in FCP, you'd only hear FCP audio until you switched to another app.  So not sure it would work exactly as you wanted.
