Zoom with acceleration

I want to zoom in an object with the effect of an approaching car - most of the time the change in size is not significant due to perspective, and in the last few moments there is a major increase. Can I set two keyframes and somehow set the smoothness of transition between them?

Not for scale, but you can for position.

Thanks! What about rotation, distort, etc? I mean it must be a way to adjust acceleration of transition in between 2 keyframes in general

Welcome to one of FCP’s two worst short-comings; lack of reasonable keyframe controls and lack of mixing/mastering tools for audio. No, position is about the only type of keyframe you can change from Smooth to Linear, and that via OCS only.
