Adjustment layer inside compound clips affecting whole project ?

Hello there !
I'm posting here for the first time as I've always found a solution for my FCPX problems.
I'm not a pro, learnt everything on tutorials and I'm guessing it leaves huge blind spots in my knowledge. That's why I'm posting today, seeking some advice as I think I'm looking at it all wrong.
I'm editing a videoclip for my band. I have 4 different clips for each musiciens ( 4 band members ).
I synced all 16 clips on the audio, then created a compound clip for each member.
Editing went well, felt well organized and easy to make split screens,..
But now that I'm color grading, I'm seeing big flaws in my workflow.
I'm trying to find a way to avoid copy pasting Luts and color adjustments on all clips as I'll probably want to make changes and have to copy paste all over again every time.
As each band member shot all 4 clips in the same room, I wanted to apply the same Lut on all. I tried an Adjustment Layer I made on Motion, but found out that it affects all clips under it, even outside of the compound clips.
Applying Luts directly on the compound clip doesn't work either as it hides lower compound clips.
Is there a way to make Adjustment layer only affect clips inside the compound clip ?
Or even link an adjustment layer to a certain layer/clip, so I could have a general Lut for each compound clips, and another adjustment layer for each shot ? So that I could have special color adjustment layer for each shots, without having to copy paste every time I make changes, as all shots are cut many times throughout the compound.
Or is there a better workflow all together ?
Thank you so much,
Loan

I think what you should have done is created a Mutlicam Clip. Then you apply LUTS and color correction to the clip inside the Angle Editor.
Normally, when you shoot music videos, you have a boom-box playing that the cameras are also recording audio from. This syncs them all up automatically in a Multicam clip. The rest is easy peasy.
You've made the project way too complicated.

Thank you for your response !
I haven't really played around with Multicam yet but I definitely should. Thank you for the tip !
It maybe looked more complicated I sometimes have only one clip playing, but sometimes multiple clips on a split screen. But I guess it's all doable on a Multicam project too.
Thank's for the info about syncing too. It's not at all pro, it's just a covid style video, everyone at home filming ourselves. So I can't do much automatic syncing, doing it all manually.
Anyway, I'll get into Multicam, thank's a lot!

Yes, if everyone is using the same digital music file to lip sync to, you can sync all the clips easily. If everyone is playing live, then they need headphones with a digital metronome so they're all in sync. And even with a Multicam (it's easy, don't be fooled, very easy to deal with) you can go into the Angle Editor and tweak your clips to sync if FCP's auto function didn't nail it.
