Copy Share Destinations? was created by Wondering
Bought a new MBP. Is there a way to copy fcpx Share destination presets to another computer? Tedious making all new ones! Thanks!

From your system drive:
Users > [your user folder] > Library > Application Support > Compressor > Settings
You'll find it all there to copy from the old system to the new one.
Users > [your user folder] > Library > Application Support > Compressor > Settings
You'll find it all there to copy from the old system to the new one.

Thanks, but it's not in there. Or to be more accurate, Library > Application Support > Compressor > gets me to >"Storage" which is empty.

It should be in Home/Library/Application Support/ProApps/Share Destinations

I think the answer may be here:https://www.fcp.co/forum/4-final-cut-pro-x-fcpx/17236-path-to-fcpx-share-settingsThese are FCPX modified destinations I made in fcpx, not in Compressor.

...however they're not in there either so this is a real mystery.

Custom Destinations created in Compressor and used in FCP are where I said the are.
Custom Destinations created in FCP alone can't be access, not stored anywhere you can get to them.

I wonder what ProApp uses that Share Destination folder I see on my system. Does Motion use it? FCP doesn’t apparently. Maybe Logic.

"Vimeo (advanced).fcpxdest" is the only file I have in that location, and I did not create that, don't use Vimeo. I do have two custom Destinations in FCP that I created (without Compressor) and use for work. I've searched high and low for those two custom presets and can not find them anywhere. Ronny in the past has confirmed that they are not stored anywhere we end users can find them.
Now, from your system drive, Library >>> Pro Apps > Share Destinations, there I have three custom Destinations that I did not make, but were installed by thrid party apps. But my own are not there.
I'll assume end-user custom Destinations created inside FCP are simply filed into a database somewhere. As you can't find the stock, built-in Destinations anywhere on your system, either.

Fortunately, they're really easy and fast to replicate. This is why I create all my custom export presets in Compressor first, then use it as a Destination in FCP, so I can move them between all the Macs at home and at work I need them all on.
