Isn't that a bit of a waste of money?
So far I haven't had any problems to synch within FCP X, so what should Plural Eyes offer?

If you've ever tried to sync clips that have poor audio in FCP X, yes, it can fall apart fast. PluralEyes is more stable, can work with problem audio such as too much background noise, it's more robust and feature rich as opposed to FCP X's very simple and unstable sync function.

Yes, Plural Eyes seems to be feature rich, but as long, as I don't have problems with FCP X, I'll refrain. YMMV
