Update FCPX 10.4.9 Then crash because COREMELT VTwinFx plugin

FCPX was updated automatically on my mac and I now have the version 10.4.9.
When clicking on a recent project FCPX crashes and and error message appears indicating this comes from the plugin VTwinFx. I understand this plugin is related to COREMELT PAINTX plugin.
Did you guys had the same issue and how did you solve it?

Check with Core Melt that you are A) Up to date with the latest version, they are very good at letting you download immediately if you don't, and B)make sure that the downloads are 32 bit not 16 as I hcheck the time ave had an issue with this in the past using Lock and Load and for some reason I was using a 16 bit version when I thought I had upgraded to 32. Its cool they're very helpful and great at problem solving. They're in OZ though so check the time if you need to chat . hope this helps

Use the CoreMelt uninstaller to uninstall Everything, and then reinstall.

Also, switch up situated in the App Store and in System Preferences.

Actually no need to uninstall, waste of time. Just download the installer form their web site and run it, you'll be fine.

I’m sure you’re right Ben. Just not a fan of installing over existing software or systems.

Coremelt doesn't "update" (add new code to existing packages) but will actually "replace" (delete the old, install the new) so it does all that work for you.
