360 reorient keeps resetting back to original view

I've seen this problem posted in this forum, and on the subreddit, and I have not seen an answer yet. I'm editing 360 stereoscopic clips and setting a keyframe at beginning of each clip and then using reorient tool. Purpose is to set the initial view in the 360 scene. I'm sure I'm not getting confused with the 'view' on the left window; which is a problem that could occur. As.I move along, reorienting each clip, I look back and my reorientations are all lost. Any recommendations?
