iZotope RX8 Removes Direct FCPX Plug-In Support was created by cseeman
It seems iZotope has ended direct FCPX plugin support with the release of RX8.
I inquired about this and received the following from their support.
Some of the changes involved with the processing upgrades have made it a bit harder for Final Cut Pro to handle the DSP workload, so this was removed from official support.
That being said, the External Editor workflow will continue to work as an option for full functionality:

They still list Premiere Pro support. I thought they had supported Avid at one time but don't see that listed either.
