LUT via Inspector problem w 10.4.9 was created by Carsten Orlt
Anybody else seeing this and maybe have a solution?:
Canon C300 mkII footage shot in Canon Log2/Cinema gamut. Same problem with the Apple supplied LUT as well as custom LUTs. Checked Canon import plugin and have the latest version from 2018.
I import the C300 mkII footage to an external media drive and apply a LUT via the inspector. After I create Proxies stored inside the Library, the LUT setting (including the metadata entry option in the settings tab of the inspector) disappears when I disconnect the external drive (have to quit FCP otherwise the OSX doesn't allow to disconnect) with the original media.
When I reconnect the ext drive with the original media but stay in proxy mode the LUT setting reappears.
Same problem w updated Libraries as creating a complete new library and importing the clips again.

The problem is reproducible with other media. I don’t know if this is intentional behavior, but you should report it as it’s different from prior versions.

Thanks Tom. Have send feedback already. Good to know that this is not only happening here. I doubt that this is intended behaviour. It didn't happen in 10.4.8.

Hi there...
Did you find a solution to this? It's a real pain when working with only the proxies & no original media is connected!

It’s been fixed in subsequent updates. Check the what’s new page to see which one.

Great, thanks for letting me know. I'm in the middle of a big project so I can't update today - I guess will have to live with it for now!
Cheers
