Removing feedback and weird audio noises from a clip was created by huggtheresa
I'm getting a weird feedback noise and voice distortion from clips recorded in Zoom. It's more than an echo and not really pops. It almost sounds like alien ships mixed within the voice along with static. Does anyone know of a plugin that would fix this issue in FCP.

In general you can't fix that in post, not even with iZotope RX7. The Zoom client app can use lots of audio DSP for noise and echo reduction which has robotic-like artifacts. When combined with an old device and poor connection it sounds bad. It can also be caused by participants not muting their mics.
If you track down each one, you'll generally find they are caused by a 12-yr-old laptop, a 7-yr-old Android device, etc. If they have a personal free Zoom account, that gives them access to persistent audio/video settings in the config menu. They can adjust the audio DSP, but in general that won't help. The Zoom app is already trying to make the best of a bad situation. With a halfway decent device it works well.
Very old devices not only have poor audio but even with a 200 mbps WiFi connection they cannot process the video properly and will have a laggy poor quality image. In general an Android or Apple device less than five years old works well.
There are very inexpensive solutions, including using the free wired Apple or Android earbuds that are sitting in many people's closets, or a USB headset. They may already own or their children may have a gaming headset which would work great. You can get a new wired headset for less than $25. There are Blue Snowball USB mics on eBay for $15-$25, and they work great for a laptop or desktop.
