Just updated to Catalina OS and had to update to FCPX 10.4.8. When I go to open FCPX it wants to update my Libraries and warns they won't work with earlier versions of FCPX after the update. I can back up the Libraries before I update, but this got me wondering if anyone else has updated and how it worked out for them. Any info pro or con will help.

I have libraries that have updated through almost all the versions of FCPX, never an issue. But do have backups. I've never had an issue with updating Libraries to newer versions of FCPX.

Just finished a47 minute piece that was upgraded mid project to the latest FCPC and Catalina. No issues to report.

But yes, it is true, when you update a Library to a newer version of FCPX, they will not open in older versions.
