Hi guys,

Does anyone know how to change the animated lower third to slide in from opposite side of screen (eg. build-in left / change to build-in right)

I can only move it / scale it etc.

When I flip the LThird it also flips the text!

see attachment below, I want the Lower Third to appear from the left?

Thanks

Exactly what template is that you are using?

You may have to open it in Motion and change it yourself. That may have not been a feature that was built into the original template.

I find it's a good skill to have. And often you'll find other things to change you didn't think about at first, ending up with a way cool, new transition.

I believe that the FCP dev team meant for the included templates to only be starting points for end users to create the really great stuff from. I love seeing what folks are doing on their own (and sharing with each other for free).

What is the name of the template you are trying to work with there?

I've changed that particular one myself in Motion, it's not difficult and well worth learning. Just remember to copy the effect first before you modify it!

You don't have a choice. Right-click it and the only option is the open a "copy" in Motion. All built in templates only allow you to open a copy and not the original. Nice safe guard Apple designed into FCP X.
