AirPods Pro and beachball

AirPods Pro and beachball was created by mblazer
I recently discovered that after a while my AirPods are slowing down FCP considerably. I get a lot of beach balls. When I disconnect the AirPods the beachball problem disappears.
Am I the only one with this problem? And does anyone knows how to solve this while still using the AirPods?

I use AirPods occasionally, and I've never had issues. This will be interesting to see if others have it.
What Mac are you on, macOS version, FCPX version?
Are you switching the System to Airpods before or after launching FCPX?

I am on a MacBook Pro 15" Model 2016 with Catalina 10.15.4 and FCP X 10.4.8
It doesn't matter if I switch to the AirPods before I start up FCP or after. It happens on both occasions.
