Final Cut Pro X and Image Capture hacked

Anyone have this problem? I went to open Image Capture and received this message: "You can’t open the application “Final Cut Pro” because it is being updated." I stupidly clicked on update. The window finally went away. However anytime I try to open Final Cut Pro X or Image Capture that message comes up and the apps won't open. Any suggestions? I have some major FCPX productions to edit and I can't get into FCPX.

That's a new one for me!

First, go to the App Store, to the Update section, verify that everything is in fact updated.
Then boot your Mac into Recovery Mode (hold Cmd-R while booting up) and go to Disk Utility and run First Aid.
See if that takes care of it.
