lost ability to keyframe basic titles

hi everyone, seems that all of a sudden i've lost ability to keyframe basic text properties such as size, tracking, kerning etc in fcpx

the keyframe buttons are MIA..! anyone else had this or even better...know the solution please?

Only properties in the Title inspector are keyframeable. Basic Title has no properties in the Title inspector. The properties in the Text inspector are not keyframeable.

It has always been this way from the beginning.

I duplicated the Custom title template and published all the parameters so I could keyframe them.
