I have a problem please help

why does the mask not blend properly when i mask out an object to the same background even though the second background is plain

What is different between the two clips? Where is the mask supposed to be? I can see two diagonal lines defining an area above the open box as slightly darker than the rest of the image, is that it? Because that looks like it's been masked out. Need to see details of the top clip.
