How do you change Subtitles for Transitions?

Just a quick hello to everyone, hope you're all doing well. Just a quick question, if anyone can answer. How do you change the subtitles in the transitions browser? I understand how to create categories (left circled in yellow). but how do you create the subcategories (right circled in red)? I've gone into my motion templates folder to see if there is any particular order, but I can't see one. All my "Custom" transitions are in individual folders, but thats not how they show up in the browser. If anyone has some insight to this, it would be greatly appreciated!

I think the OP means like this. But I find grouping things like this in the Finder doesn't always handle the sub-categories inside of FCPX consistently. It's buggy.

Ya thats it! I tried doing sub-folders, but it doesn't work. Here's my original pic, but ya... thats the problem.

If you are talking about your 'own custom' templates you can add a Theme in Motion to those.

Does the Theme actually do anything?

OK, just tested, and it simply groups them into a common folder system. Didn't know it did that. Cool. Not as useful as the old Themes function, where I could access all templates of all types in one place. THAT was freakin' useful! So wish they'd bring that back.

Thats what I figured, arranging the main folder, then sub folders, ect. But that doesn't work fo rme. Are these "custom" transitions ones you made yourself, or you simply downloaded?

Assigning them to a common Theme places them into a special folder configuration that FCPX will recognize properly. Just dumping them into a common folder may or may not work properly, although you'd think it should.

This "theme" everyones talking about, I'm assuming you can only do that through motion? Not FCPX? I don't have motion.

Yes, it is an option when you create a new template yourself and save it.
