Is there a way to have audio effects with custom settings?

If I want custom video effects I can open them in Motion and publish a customized copy to FCPX but how do I do it with audio effects?

My "problem": I have clips with MS Stereo tracks. I drop the Direction Mixer on the first clip and then each day I have to set the Preset to "MS Decoder" and to adjust the stereo spread to a certain value. I would prefer to make a customized Direction Mixer effect with the "MS Decoder" Preset already set just to save time or to avoid forgetting this step.

I suppose there's no way to do that with the current FCPX version.

You can save custom audio presets in FCP10, but not all audio plugins that FCP10 uses allow you to do this. All Audio Unit (AU) filters in FCP10 have an option to save custom presets. The Direction Mixer does not have this option. This is related to the audio plugin itself, not to FCP10, so I'm afraid further updates of FCP10 will not change anything to this.

Actually, it is an FCP X limitation. Those plugins allow for presets in STP and Logic Pro. I'm hoping we do see this barrier lifted in the future.

I have checked this and Ben is correct. Let's hope they fix this in the future.
