Graphics Card Problems MacBook Pro Late 2013 was created by Finbo
I've been running Mac OS High Sierra for quite some time but decided it was time to update to Catalina.
I researched and checked that my laptop and the graphics cards were compatible before doing this.
The laptop has both a Nvidia GeForce GT 750M & Intel Iris Pro 1536
But now I've run into problems and since the update the Nvidia card is no longer listed under About This Mac.
My version of FCPX is still on 10.4.6 and no updates beyond this are available.
I presume this is because the Intel card isn't suitable for Metal.
Strangely when I look under Activity Monitor both cards are still listed and it states the Nvidia card supports Metal.
But when I go on the Nvidia website there's no mention of Mac OS under its list of operating systems.
So is there a way around this to still use the Nvidia card on Catalina?
Or is the Intel card good enough for FCPX??
Thanks in advance
