Loop video in FCPX story line

Hi, guys.

I'm still new with FCP X. I have this project that needs a video with only 10s duration, to play in loop, at the story line.

Is it possible in FCPX? I just can;t find how?

That will be done in the player that plays the video.

The other way I have done this sort of thing in the past is to create the quicktime movie, sometimes in FCP or keynote or iphoto, then in QT 7 pro set a flag for continous loop. Depends on how it is being screened afterwards. Can you offer more details on the whole project?

Apple has removed that flag in Lion. Seems stupid to me, but there you have it.

But in proper DVD authoring, you can set it to an infinit loop.

The 10s video is a background animation, that i use for a green screen. The whole project is about 2m duration.

So i thought maybe there's a way to loop that 10s video, than I can insert that 10s video as a background in the 2m video.

Well, can't you insert this video as many times as you need ?
If you see the edit, you can try to reverse the speed for the 2nd clip, then normal speed, then reverse and so on...

Make the looping assets one Compound clip, copy/paste it to take up the 2 minutes. Simple as pie.
