Voiceover Issue - includes YouTube video to explain.

Hi all,

Please see the linked video below. I found it to be easier and more descriptive to show my screen rather than type everything out. Please let me know if you have any ideas. This issue is messing up my workflow. Thanks in advance!

video question:

Need to see playhead in timeline at the same time, can't see if it moves or not.
Trash prefs, trash renders.
Is the timeline active? I can't really tell what's happening. I've never seen that before...
Version numbers?
Do you have enough disk space left?
Did you try bypassing the hub and going directly into the laptop?
Has it ever worked with that configuration before, or is this a first try?
Did you test it with the built-in laptop mic?

Check all the boxes to mute the timeline, count-down, etc, and try again.

Well... this is embarrassing... after doing all you recommended, reinstalling, etc. it turns out all I needed to do was restart my computer. Thanks for your detailed response, though.

The first thing I should do is to change to the built in microphone and test if it is working and take it from there. Disconnect external mic while testing.
Then at least you know if you have the phenomena with both microphone settings . Never seen anything like this before.

REBOOT!!!!!
