Multicam shows darker image inside multicam compared to on timeline

When I create a multicam edit it looks fine on the timeline, but when I go into the multicam clip it looks much darker when I skim across the clips. When I make adjustments in the clip inside the multicam clip I can make it look good there, but if I go back to the timeline again it will be waaay off and looks awful. So I cannot make global adjustments to each clip inside the multicam without having to go back and forth to see if those changes will look okay in the timeline, and if I just make them in the timeline I can do it, but it just takes much more time.
Kinda new to multicam, but have followed some tutorials and do not see what I am doing wrong.
Any help is kindly accepted

This sounds like you have a color correction both on the clip inside the multicam, and also on the timeline in your project. Try disabling any correction you have on the timeline, and then also disable any correction directly applied to the clip when you open the multicam - and see if the images now look the same when you switch between the open multicam and timeline.
