Hi Dan, welcome to the forums.

How old is your computer? That NVidia card was used as an integrated graphics card with shared memory on 2008-2009 Macs. If this really is the graphics card in your computer, I'm sorry to say that it's not up to the task and I'm not surprised you get scrambled images.

Also, the version of FCP X you are running is completely out of date. Is this a legal copy?
