Audio Waveform Effect in Video

Hey everyone,
Is there a effect plugin generator that shows audio waveforms in video? Waveforms UV Levels rising up and down? Like a spy movie or undercover recording showing the waveform mirroring the audio?

And here is a tutorial by Simon Ubsdell that shows how to create audio visualization in Motion that might be helpful: UPDATE - the video is not available for playback on other sites, but google Simon Ubsdell audio visualization in Motion and you should be able to find it.

You can actually download Simon Ubsdells Motion project here .

But watch his tutorial before. If you want to make the bars react to, say, an actor's voice, you must change the source for the audio behavior within the project.

It seems like it would be one of the most common things to do for video----but the term "audio visualizer" eluded me.

(The POV scene from RoboCop where all the audio waveforms are displayed)

The Motion project looks like a great starting point but it feels like you have to be a programmer to build up all the elements. (And yes, I really need to learn Motion).
