Invert colours???

I'm going insane, I know I've done it before... but now I just can't find how to do it... how do you invert an image? Colour wise that is. So white becomes black and black becomes white etc???

I'm pretty sure I've done it in FCPX before... is there really no invert colour in FCPX???

Maybe with a third-party add-on, or the built-in color curves. I don't recall anything that comes with FCPX that does this purposefully. I dunno...

No access to FCP from here. Isn‘t there an effect „negative“ or so that does this?

Speaking of inverted colors: is it just me or did the forum just turn white with a middle grey font? With black reply field behind space grey letters?

Not that there wasn‘t room for improvement before, but now you seem to be determined to start over with the worst case scenario...

For black & white use Colorize,
For inverted colors simply use a white background and subtract the video.



I made a simple Motion Effect:

In FCP: Effects -> Spherico -> Simple Color Effects -> Invert
