Splitting a screen left to right from the center

I was wondering if anyone had a simple method of splitting a screen so the right half goes to the right side and the left half goes to the left side leaving the center blank of for another clip? The clip that is moved to either side would show a quarter of the image from the clip leaving the original clip below showing the center half if that makes sense.

I am currently accomplishing this by moving the anchor over on the clip above and then cropping part of the image but then I have to add the same clip in another layer to do the other side. Seems like there would be some easy way of doing all of this with one clip. Any thoughts?
