Color Finale, is it worth it

I have been using fcpx for many years. Now I am using Catalina and the latest version of fcpx. My question is. Is there benefits using Color Finale compared to the options that fcpx already has ?

I have been using ColorFinale from the beginning ten CF pro and really liked it and still use it, It has a nice structure and was a great enhancement then, but if you want something quite different, i would go for CinemaGrade also from color grading central.
CinemaGrade is more workflow centred and once installed is also available in DavinciResolve ... I also use Chromatic from Coremelt and that is a very well done software that I believe is slightly better than ColorFinale it has a few more tools and a Lift Gamma Gain " à la" DavinciResolve plus nice features.

Since Apple upgraded the color grading tools in FCPX, I've stopped using all third party color grading plugins. Learn the built-in tools, save the money. Just my two cents.

Coremelt Chromatic has tracking.
I REALLY hope FCPX adds a tracker in the 10.5 update.
I like to see the ability to create groups as Color Finale Pro has as well.

Yes FCPX has taken huge steps forward, maybe I should just stay with FCPX

Ditto. The current FCPX built-in tools are quite good, provided you learn how to use them effectively. This also avoids hand-off issues in a collaborative environment when other editors don't have that plugin or not the same version.

Although, if I do need tracking on a rare occasion, I use Chromatic or TrackX/SliceX.
