All of a sudden I am getting "audio configuration is unavailable" on my project timeline in many clips. I am mystified. Can anyone shed light on this?

Have you checked the audio configuration in the Inspector?

Did you ever find a solution to your problem ?

I'm getting the same message after importing clips with replaced audio from PluralEyes.

Hi Ben!

Video is a Sony Fs5 with a mic (MXF files)
Recorder 1 with 1 track with the boom
Recorder 2 with 1 stereo track with 2 lavaliers

PluralEyes -> Export with replaced audio

Once in FCPX, I get syncronised clips with "audio configuration unavailable""

FCPX 10.4.9
MAcOs Catalina up to date

Alternatively I can use the non-replaced audio timeline. I get a timeline with the clips synchronised on top of each other. Do I make this a compound clip and edit with it ?

But won't my AAF look awful in the end ? Can I assign roles for the sound editor ?

EDIT: using a compound clip seems like a bad solution because i can't enable and disable the audio tracks individually

EDIT2: even when rewrapping to MOV and using one audio track, I get that issue
