Colour adjustments not saving

I'm having trouble making some adjustments to a few clips which are a little dark. I select the clips (already in the timeline), select colour adjustment and make the necessary lighting and saturation adjustments. When rendering has finished, the clip looks fine until I move the mouse. It then reverts back to how it was before I made the adjustments! However, as soon as I move one of the colour adjustment sliders just a fraction, the adjustment that I made originally reappears! It then starts rendering again etc etc. I have previously in the same project made successful adjustments. Can anyone please shed a light on what I might be doing wrong?

Wow, never heard of that one before.

I assume you're not selecting more than one clip at one time, right?

In the Libraries, one by one, highlight the Project and in the File menu delete the render files. Do the same for any associated Events.

If that doesn't do the trick, use "Preference Manager", a free download from Digital Rebellion to delete safely, properly, and quickly all of FCP X's preference files.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried all your suggestions but it has made no difference. After making the adjustment I have watched the render bar above the clip move along to the right as it renders. As it moves, everything to the left suddenly reverts back to before mu adjustment. It's almost as if the render erases the adjustment as it progresses. I'm stumped :S

I've just solved it with your help. I right clicked on a clip and saw the command 'Break apart clip items'. This worked. I'm not even sure what the clip was connected to! Well I am a total FCP newbie, but enjoying the learning curve! :)

I don't know what breaking apart clip items would have to do with your color correction not saving. This doesn't make sense to me.
