This may be an easy one but I don't get it. When I have finished a project and share it the small photo on the desktop shows a scene that is not the first scene. The frame splayed is from somewhere in the middle of the project. Is there a way to have that little file sitting on the desktop always show the title/first scene of the video?

Not in FCPX, it does not let you pick the "Poster Frame" which is that that thumbnail image is called.
