My FCP has a weird problem

Hey all new here but not new to FCP!

So my system has started doing this weird thing - whilst I'm editing, I'm hitting spacebar to stop and start playback as usual, and sometimes it just stops...

I mean that as in the playback stops, but everything else shows that it should be playing. I'll hit space or click to pause, then try to play again, yet again everything suggests playback should continue but it doesn't.

What also happens after this is when skimming, I get no audio.

I have to restart FCP for it all to go back to normal. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?

Am I missing some glaringly obvious thing? I'm losing my mind!

If this just started, I'd check free space on the drive. Be sure all drive, especially the system drive, has at least 20% of its total capacity left as free space.

Next, I'd delete all the render files for all my Libraries (FC Library Manager is great for this).

Thanks, it turned out it was the Bluetooth headphones causing the issue!
