Clip on the Time line that plays back Black

I have a clip on a number of time lines that works perfectly well on them. But on one time line, whenever I touch it, it turns black. And whenever I play that time line back, it shows up as a black screen.

What cause that?

I've deleted it from the time line and then re-inserted it but same thing happens. Clips from the same library, and shot with the same camera, in sequence all play. But not this one.

There is obviously nothing wrong with the clip itself, it works perfectly in other timelines in the same Library.

In cases like this, the best way to troubleshoot is to see what actually makes this clip behave differently in this particular timeline.

- Does the clip have any filters or effects in the problematic timeline that it does not have in the other timelines?
- Could you have any corrupt render files on that clip in the problematic timeline? (Select the project in the Browser, choose File > Delete Generated Project Files > Render Files > OK and see if the clip still shows black after having deleted the render files).

If nothing helps, you could create a new project and copy/paste the content of the problematic timeline into the new project to see if this solves the issue.
