Titles and generators taking forever to load

For the last few versions of FCPX I've been experiencing serious lagging with FCPX loading titles and generators.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? It's been happening for a few versions now and seems to be getting worse. Deleted preferences, etc. but still happens. I've messaged apple but no reply.

On a 3,8Ghz Intel Core i5 2017 iMac. 40 GB RAM. Radeo Pro 580 8 GB.

Yeah, I have quite a few, need to thin it out, kill the ones I never use anymore. But no, I have no problems at all with titles and effects and such. There's that hesitation for the music list to show up, but that's an OSX thing.

Hi Robert! Did you ever find a reason for the long load time for Titles and Generators? I have recently switched over machines (using an iMac with 32Gb RAM) and I'm finding that all the Titles and Generators, third party AND Apple are taking over a quarter hour to load in! They are where they should be on the system - FCPX knows they are. I have another machine with a pretty similar set-up only with just 16Gb of RAM and on this they load fine. The problem is, this is a home machine and the one with the problem is the one I use most - for work. I just wondered if you managed to crack what seems to be a similar issue?
