FCPX use in Broadcast News

I'm doing some exploratory work for a TV station and would like to talk to anyone using FCPX on a daily basis to edit broadcast news. Also if you have experience using FCPX with a MAM system for news that would be of interest too. We are interested in the kind of workflows you have adopted and how you are managing your media/metadata.

There is quite al lot of info and stories about integrating FCPX in television station workflows. You can start with exploring the "User Stories" tab and scrolling through the articles. Or do a site search for "television".
IMHO one of the best resources for television workflow's is the articles and postings by Ronny Courtens. You can also do a specific search for Ronny and see the links.

Ronny has a lot of consulting experience in Europe including the largest TV stations/networks. He is the person I would want to talk to.

Since you are gathering info, I would start there and if you have specific questions, post again.

I use FCPX in a TV station, and we've just added news broadcasts. For use with a MAM, lots of info around. I strongly suggest you get in touch with fcpworks.com and with LumaForge as they'll get you the best info. Ronny is working with LumaForge now, I believe.

Hi Greg, That is fantastic info. Ronny does seem to be the very man I need to talk to. I'm interested in the Swiss TV setup that he was involved in as they are using the MAM system we are implementing.
I'll keep lurking and asking questions. This is a great forum. Some brilliant people on here.
