In the event viewer, i always have to go in and change the Clip Appearance and Filtering Menu. When i open up FCPX, my clips are all stretched out long ways, and i have to go into the settings and set the time for each clip to 'all' instead of 30s so that my clips don't look like long rectangles, they look like square thumbnails.
again, not sure if i'm using the technical terms right here or not, but i'm sure you all know what i'm talking about.
is there a way to get FCPX to remember this so i don't have to change it constantly?

It doesn't remember the state. However just do SHIFT+Z; it takes 1/2 second.
