Browser creating XML ?!!

Hey folks. I've used FCPX since it was released and never seen something like this. When I drag clips from the browser and place them in the timeline FCPX exports an XML. In fact, even before I drag the clip, if I highlight a clip segment FCPX creates a XML. Please check the video to see this in action. It's really bizarre and is slowing down my system. Any ideas? Yes, I have trashed preferences, but I work for an enterprise that manages macs using Jamf and restricts SMC reset.

That's normal behaviour in case you activate another app during the drag accidentally.
